Pop Filter

Aka: Gooseneck... A small piece of fabric placed in front of a microphone to block plosives from creating an air burst or 'pop' in the recording.


Post-Production

Post-production occurs in the making of motion pictures, television programs, videos, audio recordings, photography and digital art. It is the general term for all stages of production occurring after the actual end of shooting and/or recording the completed work.Typically, the post-production phase takes longer than the actual shooting or recording.

Preamplifier

Aka: control amp in some parts of the world, is an electronic amplifier which precedes another amplifier
to prepare an electronic signal for further amplification or processing. The preamplifier circuitry may or may not be housed as a separate component.
