FAQ: Everything you need to know about Voice123’s AI Voices

What exactly is an AI voice model?

An AI voice model is a software that generates synthetic speech using artificial intelligence (AI).
 

Will my audio be used to train the Voice123 AI voice model?

No, the Voice123 AI model was trained using open-source licensed data.
 

Can an AI voice be created without my consent? 

No! You will have to give your consent to create an AI Voice from your audio samples. 
 

Who can view my AI voice on Voice123?

Only Voice123 users can listen to your AI voice via the Voice123 AI Voices search engine.

Currently, generated audios are only for casting purposes, and users will not be able to download these audios unless you, as the AI voice owner, accept the project terms and payment.

 

Will my AI voice be available outside of Voice123?

Our long-term goal is to give voice actors full control, so they can use their own AI voices on their personal websites or any platform they choose to work with clients. But again, this will be at your sole discretion, the owner of the AI voice. 

NOTE: We expect many requests, and while this tool is programmatic, our support team is human. So, team members may take longer than usual to reply to these requests.

 

Does Voice123 own any rights to my AI voice?

No, we do not and will not. As our Terms of Service indicate, it will only be used on your Voice123 for clients to hire you. This works like any other audio sample you upload onto your Voice123 profile.

You will always have complete ownership of your AI voice.

 

How will Voice123 ensure my AI voice won’t be misused?

We’ve implemented protocols allowing users to download the generated content only if they accept the project and payment as the AI voice owner.
 

How will Voice123 protect my data?

Our approach is simple.

In a world where AI technology is widely available, we want voice actors to feel safe, and the best way to do it is by offering tools they can use, like Voice Credentials and VoiceID.

On Voice123, all audio files are digitally signed, and information about the file’s origin and the voice actor is embedded.

This allows the VoiceID algorithm to trace any unsigned audio to its origin on Voice123 and to estimate the similarity in voice to determine possible misusage.

 

How will having an AI voice increase my work opportunities? 

Right now, the most common use of AI voiceovers is to speed up the pre-audition process, giving clients a quick way to hear how their script sounds in a specific voice. If they like what they hear, they can contact the voice actor directly for revisions, a full project, or book them through Voice123.

Alternatively, they can request to purchase the generated sample, but it can only be downloaded once you approve the project terms and payment.

 

Do I get to negotiate terms directly with clients for AI work?

Yes, you can negotiate, decline, and accept AI projects as you prefer.
 

What kind of audio sample should I submit to create my AI voice?

A clean voiceover of up to 60 seconds without any background music or sound effects.

Simply go to your profile, upload the audio, and click NEXT.

 

Does my sample need to be professionally recorded?

Yes, the sample quality directly impacts the quality of the AI-generated audio.
 

Do I need to submit multiple voice samples of different styles for different AI Voices?

Yes. Each sample should only contain one voice style or accent. You can create multiple AI voices by submitting multiple individual samples.
 

Can I delete my AI voice if I no longer want it on my profile?

Yes, just let our Customer Success team know via help@voice123.com 
 

What are the current Service Limitations?

  • Up to 3 AI voices will be allowed per voice actor to showcase different styles and accents.
